Changes to the Weather-Relations-Management Platform

πŸ—“οΈπŸ“‚πŸ”§ 0.9.0 - Campaigns Feature, UI Overhaul, and Key Enhancements (October 31st, 2024)

Version 0.9.0 brings a substantial update to ClimaLinks, introducing a multi-site campaign feature, a modernized user interface, and several key enhancements aimed at improving navigation and user experience.

New Features:

Campaigns for Task Grouping:

We’ve introduced a new Campaigns feature, allowing users to group related tasks across multiple sites. The Campaign Page offers an organized view of tasks within each campaign, making it easier to manage and track projects that span multiple locations.

Campaign Management in Settings: In the settings, users can now create as many campaigns as they need, with this feature available to all users, including those on free plans.

Future Campaign Expansion: Currently, campaigns are available for task management, but we plan to expand this feature to other areas, such as asset tracking.

Revamped Navigation Bar:

To reflect the platform’s growing multi-site capabilities and new campaign layers, we have overhauled the navigation bar. This streamlined design improves navigation, especially for users managing multiple sites.

Unified Homepage in Development: We are working on a unified homepage that will provide a centralized view for all sites. If you have a feature wishlist, we’re already gathering feedback from power users!

User Interface & User Experience Overhaul:

  • Unified UI/UX Design Philosophy: Our platform now features a more cohesive and modern design language, moving away from rounded elements to a unified look and feel that aligns with our vision for ClimaLinks. We hope these changes provide a more visually appealing and intuitive experience.
  • Improved Empty State Messaging: The platform now includes visually enhanced messages for instances where no data is available, making these areas more engaging.

Improvements:

  • Climate Data Integration in Resources Page: The Climate Data Page has been restructured under the Resources section as we prepare to expand our data offerings. Expect further additions like CMIP6 datasets in upcoming releases, providing users with access to even more comprehensive climate data.

Bug Fixes:

  • Working Hours Error Prevention: Resolved an issue where users could mistakenly set work hours to end before they start. The system now prevents this configuration, ensuring logical work hour settings.

Version 0.9.0 marks a step forward in multi-site management and campaign-based organization within ClimaLinks, enhancing user control and usability. We look forward to your feedback and suggestions as we continue to evolve and improve.

πŸŽ¨πŸ”§πŸž 0.9.1 - UI Enhancements, Default Chart Shading, and Bug Fixes (November 10th, 2024)

Version 0.9.1 introduces several user interface improvements, sets shading as the default for charts, and addresses key bugs to enhance the overall user experience on the ClimaLinks platform.

Improvements:

  • Enhanced Navigation Menu:
In line with our ongoing integration of multi-site functionality, we've added a convenient button at the bottom of the page to make it clear which site you're currently on. The navigation menu has also been improved to display options more intuitively, enhancing the organization and visibility of menu items for easier access to different sections of the platform.

  • Gantt Chart Optimization:
The Gantt charts have been refined to order items from top to bottom based on their scheduled times. This top-down arrangement provides a more logical and time-referenced view of tasks, aiding in better project management and tracking.

Bug Fixes:

  • Color Selector Stability:
Resolved an issue where the color selector would close immediately after selection. Users can now select colors without the selector closing unexpectedly, providing a smoother and more reliable customization experience.

  • UI Bug Fixes:
Addressed minor UI inconsistencies and bugs to ensure a seamless experience. These fixes include alignment adjustments, responsive design improvements, and the elimination of visual glitches that previously affected certain components.
